Hi, Shep, Before you try to start the D-10, make sure that you change the engine oil and filter. Also take the air cleaner cup off and make sure that it is not filled with water. Fill it up to the indention or full mark with engine oil. Bill Deppe at [email protected] has repro side panels for under the gas tank for sale at a very reasonable price. The hood signs are aluminum and are pretty hard to find, but are the same on all the similar year D series tractors, such as the D-17. My wife has restored some of the metal signs if you can,t find one with good paint, just find one in any condition you can. The hood has had a patch welded around the muffler hole on your tractor. It should be about 3 and 1/2 inches in diameter. The AGCO-Allis dealer can get you a new muffler, but make sure that you use the Nelson muffler ( of course, it is the higher priced one) About $50. The cheap muffler (Stanley ) is only about $20 but it won't sound right. If you know someone with the D-10, Series II decal under the gas tank, borrow the panel and take it to a good screen print shop and they can make you exact duplicates. Drop me a line and let me know how you are coming. By the way,I am in a club called the Allis Connection and would invite you to come to Iowa on Father's Day Weekend at Homestead, Iowa for our annual show. Keep in touch and best of luck. Dean
