Merry Christmas to all!
I spent a couple hours this evening more or less in the manger myself. Kind of appropreate.
Water quit running in the barn, and of course it is 5 degrees F.
Graviy feed system from the cistern, works well but if someone (ahhhem....) lets the cistern get empty, well then it vapor locks and needs the pipe up the hill to get pushed full of either air or water to make it flow down the hill again on a couple psi.
Well I ain't gonna mess with a garden hose at 5 degrees, so tried the little air compresser, nope that doesn't cut it, kinda knew but you gotta try. So get the tractor started and bring the 30 gallon compressor down, pump air for 10 minutes, and get the water flowing, then a bucket of hot water to thaw all the ends out and put the fountain back on.
Friend of mine said since I spent Christmas Eve in the manger he supposed I hasd a halo now..... I said nope, my language and thoughts don't likely earn a halo. :) :)
But all good, everyone happy, nice nite of taking care of stuff.

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
