One thing is for sure, when bad weather such as tornadoes hit, there are usually more people in the path of these things that get tossed around simply because there's more people these days. That and the media's ability to "sensationalize" things probably make things seem worse, or out of the norm.
To me though, there's no doubt we're on a weather swing from one way to another.
The thing that worries me though is drought. There are more mouth's to feed these days and with the way the population is going, a severe drought to the likes of the dust bowl days would be catastrophic.
If you think meth-heads are bad with stealing anything that isn't tied down to feed the appetite of their habit, I can only image what a country of hungry people would resort to just to eat. Thinking about it honestly scares me.
