Family sold farm and moved to town about time I was born (1945). Grandpa died and Granny and 4 daughters could not run the farm alone. One daughter married a farmer and I spent time on their farm. I grew up with farm family values in small town, but I became an engineer. Now the big city is moving in on my small town. Bought 24 acres 30 miles further out 2 years ago to move to in about 5 years. Don't plan to do anything serious. Just a little hay and maybe a horse or two. Already have a tractor and I just go up and putter around whenever I can. Just want to get back to the slower pace life and enjoy my golden years.
