I liked the show, and still watch it now and then (have it all on German DVDs). Been watching it since the late 50s.
When Bonanza first started, the family was much different. Pa was a pretty hard and arrogant guy. But that only lasted for the first couple of episodes, and then writers softened him up a bit.
The first episodes had words to the song "Bonanza" sung by Lorne Greene when the show started. Johnny Cash also sung it and it was a hit at the time. The original opening soundtrack doesn't make it to any of the USA made DVDs. The German DVDs are the only ones that have true copies, that I know of. I'm not German, nor do I speak German. But, since Germany is the only place with true copies, I bought the whole series there. Then had to buy a multi-play, code-free, DVD player. All the episodes are in German as default, but click on a button and it then becomes the original English. It's kind of funny so see Hoss, Hop Sing, Little Joe, and even a few Indians speaking in German.
I see Hoss's son (in real life) on TV once in awhile.

Top that off with an old set of '36 Ford headlight shells bolted to the hood. Pretty unlikely for a car... but for a tractor, this is pretty normal. It seems that more often than not they a
