That I know of: they regularly pull traction engines at the Nittany Ant Mach Assn. show in Centre Hall, Pa., Rough and Tumble Engineers show, at Kinzers Pa., and Western NY show at Alexander. Some people love it, many owners won't pull because of the possibility of bending or breaking something prohibitively expensive to repair. (Parts availability just isn't what it was 85 years ago!) Generally, a steamer will outpull a gas or diesel tractor with 3 times their HP rating (remember TE is more important here than HP) Along those lines, I recall a 20-some-year-old story of a grudge match... between a big block 4wd 1-ton Ford pickup, and a little 6HP Russell traction engine. Seems the Ford owner made fun of "only 6HP" compared to his 300+HP truck, so naturally these two old boys found a piece of heavy log chain and hooked up, bumper to drawbar. The story goes on that the lil Russell kept dragging that Ford around backwards until the it puked the transfer case, because the guy just wouldn't give up....
