Good motors. Fuel economy will depend somewhat on what its in, but for the most part look for high teens on the highway and mid teens in town. Commonly have a piston slap noise on cold start-up but doesn't seem to cause any long term reliability issues (my dad has but over 400k miles on two 5.3's with piston slap). Power is good although they make most of their power up higher in the RPM range than the older 350's but they still have decent power down low. A custom computer tune really wakes them up, and makes them much more snappy off the line. But all around a good motor.
