To make a long story short when I got satellite you use them as your ISP no AOL needed that is most likely the problem. His installer should have set everything up for him except for the E-Mail account, Mine did anyway (Hughes)Have him contact tech support.HTH PS only took about two minutes to download Google Earth on mine.
