Actually I thought of that, however I was thinking that a few problems might occur. One, obviously a guy is squeezing out some of the JB back onto the pump bearing or at least in that area. Of more concern is that a guy couldn't prevent some motion or movement once it's pushed on (or being pushed on), and then it would squeeze some out, and even tightening it up would still leave a bit of a 'gap' and maybe the problem would still be there. Also, do you think there would be any problem getting it off if and when it was necessary?
