I just had to pull the cat motor out or our 4-150 white because of a noise in the bellhousing area. It didn't sound like it was coming from the engine or the three speed. It sounded like it was coming from behind the flywheel in the bellhousing area. I took off the inspection covers and couldn't see the problem. It sounded like something catching in there that had broke off and wouldn't fall out. Turned out the bolts on the back of the bellhousing in front of the flywheel had loosened up and broke off and were tossing around in there in front of the flywheel. There were 13 bolts that held it on and 2 were missing and all busted up. I took it apart and put in a badly needed clutch, throwout bearing, pressure plate, and had the flywheel turned. Also re-did the rear main seal and put in 13 new grade 8 bolts in the bellhousing and used lockwashers, red loctite, and also covered the heads of the bolts with silicone to keep them from ever vibrating out again. I also put eight new grade 8 bolts in the three speed bellhousing because those had loosened up before too. Was a lot of work and a heavy engine but we got it done in a couple of weeks with lots of parts searching and fixing in between. Good luck.
