Fordson Major quit running

we once had the camshaft break on our 1954 Fordson Major. i do not know what the clearance would be between the piston and a valve would be if a valve would be all the way open. If there was not enough clearnce that might lock up the engine. we were lucky when ours broke as it did not hurt anythingft else in the engine. good Luck with your engine problems.
