I just bought a used Ford model 1910 four wheel drive and reverser snychronizer transmission (1823 hours)and after two hours of use started having trouble shifting into reverse. Jumped out of third gear to when pulling a brush hog. Pulled the top plate off and springs were in bottom of pan. Gears look good, no metal filings, oil was milky but not dirty. One rail will not go past the detent marks and seems stuck. Can anybody tell me if you can remove a rail and fork with out breaking the tractor in half? Any responses would be grerat. Thanks, Tom
