The aluminum drive shaft rings like a bell when its rattled. Mine sings when the pinion teeth vibration matches its resonant frequency, long about 41 and 82 mph. That drive shaft would bee quieter if coated with rubber undercoat, but that's hard to apply and keep it balanced. I tried a bit of damping tape which helped until it came off. It would help the low speed rattle too. Gerald J.
