i paid $250 for a Case LA complete with stuck motor. Yeas it can be done but like thye say it will need work. If his name Is Victor like my friend then he can get a good running tractor for $20 in parts. Just look around and watch for an old tractor setting someplace looking all forlorn and weeds all over it then ask the owner you can ge them for nothing sometimes. I would look for one of the smaller tractors it would be easier for the kid to work on and cheaper to fix. Another friend bought a nice running Case 400 diesel for $600 his kid uses it in tractor pulls. Walt
