40 rented acres of corn in 74 as a junior in high school.

Been growing in size slowly over the years,

Bought 80 acres in 82.

Had to take a full time job in 86, close to going broke farming.

After 3 of the 4 daughters were thru college in 2000 I quit the job.

Dad died in 99 and I bought 50 acres from mom with the buildings and her half of the 70 cows.

Farming 900 acres of corn and beans now and 300 of oats, hay and pasture.

Some of the acres are custom farmed,some rented and some owned.

Bought 100 acres a month ago. Hope corn stays at $3.00.
