Back more years than I care to remember Dad had his saw mounted on an 'H' John Deere. The 'H' had a 14" pulley running, I'm guessing, 600 RPM. The saw's pulley was about 6". My math says that equates to ~2275 fpm with a saw speed of ~1500 rpm. The saw was, I think, was about 26". At that speed it cut well and the tractor ran it well. It would cut anything up to blade capacity. You'll have to do the math on the 'A'. I've forgotten pulley size and rpm.
