For those of you blessed to not have Yuppies and similiar egos nearby, turf farms grow lawns...and the sod is cut into long rolls...and unrolled at new houses for instant perfect lawn. The pics here are from Plainfield just southeast of me this AM while I was out of my (mid)morning ice coffee and Sunday drive on a Saturday. I'm not real familiar with the operations of these farms -- I believe the red tractor is a giant mower, uses rotary sickle blades like golf courses do. The canopied machine I believe is used to pickup and palletize roles of turf.
