The shifter appears to be in good shape with fork and nothing broke off. The problem all started with shifter sticking in Reverse even though the tractor would not reverse. I took a hammer and lightly taped the shifter and it dissengaged to nuetral. I could then shift into 2,3,4,5 and tractor would move in these gears. When I tried to shift into Reverse the shifter would go into Reverse but tractor would not reverse. With recommendations from all I investigated by taking shifter out and aligning rails but reverse and lst gear rail moved freely. I think this rail should be attached to something. Hate to take cover off Big Job....
