Other things to check is pulling the hose off the carb intake and making certain the choke is fully open. The aircleaner lid can be over tightened and restrict airflow. The airfilter may have been cleaned 47 times and is plugged. The safety filter is not supposed to be cleaned and it maybe plugged as well. Years orf dust and oil can plug the intake piping as well. Too many times farmer bob removed the thermostat and thinks his tractor will run better when operating cooler. Not so. That gasser needs a 195F stat.
