Well since you have to take the whole hood off to change the radiator he may have the plug wires crossed. I would worry that he ran it hot because it had a bad radiator and that is why it will not run correctly now. Take $800 with you and tell him a tractor that does not run to where you can check out the engine and trans is nothing more than scrap iron. Tell him you think it may have been run hot and now needs a engine rebuild. Offer him $500 and see what he says. PS. Is it located any where near southern La. It is worth $800 in parts if the sheet metal is not all rusted out and has all its parts. I will take it.
