What I generally do, when I suspect a bad switch, is disconnect it. Then, I put one lead of the ohmmeter on the power feed terminal of the switch, and then touch the other various terminals individually while working the switch through it's various positions. That way, you get an idea if the switch is functioning properly, or if the problem is somewhere else in the circuit. It just takes a little playing around to figure out which wire supplies what, and go from there. HTH. Rod
