We have an 1850 that has used a quart every 8 to 10 hrs of hard use. My dad complained to the Oliver regional rep. He said to leave it alone, man was he right 14000+ hrs later and the motor has never been apart. Knock on wood, I think the oil was cheaper than the overhauls would have been.
