Bob, I stand coprrected, as the twenty and thirty immediately predeeded the R-2 R-4 RD-2 and RD-4. I missed a whole series there. I was also wrong in that the two ton did appear under the caterpillar name. The two ton was built from 1925-1928. The The twenty from 1927-1934. The thirty from 1927-1932. Then came the R series in 1934 and then RD series in 1936. Sorry for the misinformation.
