According to the Ford Tractor and Implement Division (which no longer exists, BTW) and the Nebraska Test Lab. the horsepower is more in the 42hp range. The 901-series gas powered Fords came close to 50hp (the 951 and the 961 are rated at 48.4hp), but not the diesel powered ones. All of the diesel 901's are in the low forties. Engine parts are pretty easy to find. E.A.F. block (172 cid). Parts that are specific to the row crop (tricycle front/narrow front) Fords are getting hard to find, since Ford has not produced a row crop tractor for about 35 years. You do realize that the 931 (if this is indeed a 931) does not have a PTO? Dan NAA60512
