My father wants to sell me John Deere 1010 1962 Model and very old Woods finish mower! Need to mow about 3 acres! It Runs ok but the Hydraulic lift leaks and when it gets s hot it will not work properly! I think it needs seals or to be rebuilt! The Woods mower has some vibration and Boggs down very easy in taller grass! Not sure if the power take off or the mower that the has problem! Water pump is leaking a little as well! I like to tinker with things I do my own brake jobs and oil changes on my automobiles! I do have a shop manual for the tractor! I am a lawn tractor kind of a guy but I Cant afford to buy some thing nice in a rider mower right now! However, I think it would be cool to have and old John Deere to pass on to my sons. I think I will get a good deal a very good deal if not for free! Any advice would be helpful! Thanks!
