I would not have taken delivery of the tractor, simply asked for a refund and looked elsewhere. Unfortunately, by accepting the tractor, and the JB Weld I'd say you're stuck. If you hadn't seen it and then taken the tractor home and found it might be grounds to return it and ask for a refund.

Not too many options. You have the tractor, they have your check. If you stop the check after accepting the tractor, damage and all, they could prosecute you for theft by deception. I would call them, tell them that you are not satisfied (and never were), tell them that you are stopping the check and returning the tractor. If they say "sorry about your luck" you're stuck, but you are anyway.

Wish this was better news. Your state (or their state, which if different would be the court of jurisdiction) may have different laws.
