i agree. a family member tried to make a side job of mowing hay and was quickly run out of business as he was forced to pay for damage to his equipment done by debris left by owners such as cow stake poles, wood, and the occasional open septic tank hole that they "just hadn't gotten around to filling in yet." one time when i was with him he was using a selfpropelled swather and was mowing across a hillside above a nice metal shed when the lower wheel fell into a drainage ditch that hadn't been filled after the platic tile laid. the radiator was crushed as the tail of the swather swung downhill and put a nice hole in the guys siding. "oh, i forgot to tell you about that?" no compensation for down time or parts. people don't act like they used to in the days of the handshake agreement. Sad. david S.
