The first generation of Deere's to take serious enough to purchase new. 2010's were heavier than the MF 65 or Ford 4000, compare front/rear axles, 3 point lift, shipping weight. The 2010 RU was the low profile model, with 14.9-28 tires. 46 horsepower, the Diesel version was a no-start, tow-till-you-trade, as my uncle did. We bought the gas version, came with stress plates on the engine, smart idea. The syncro-mesh 8 speed kept you busy, when changing gears,no fun in the dark. There is a break in the S/N's, change in pinion shaft, etc.,the '63-'65 models were decent, once you replaced the clutch assembly, which the PTO engage would tear the weld loose. The new parts had an added triple rivot. The drive train was fine in the post-S/N break models. No awkward control levers on the 2010 RU model. I don't have "green fever", but this tractor was not a high-maintenance runner. If you find a gas model, later series, in good condition, it should serve you well. Good luck.
