I can only add that the late forties mercury truck, would be a M1 as the ford was a F1, Canadian ford was a F47, the Mercury had more trim on the hood and a front badge, tailgates wore the written mercury name same as the mercury engine heads flathead of course, embossed with made in Canada also the mercury V8 having between 5/10hp more than the ford V8. My 48 ford is a combination of ford body/mercury drive train, a 48/49/50/51/52 one piece at a time...:)
