I am rebuilding a Massey Ferguson 130 that was a narrow vineyard model. All the tires were cracked beyond use. It has 3x19 tires on the front and 9.5x24 on the back. I am putting 12.4x24 with 10 inch wide rims on the back and thinking about putting 6x16 rims on the front.
As I was looking at tires brands, Harvest King tires seemed to be the most inexpensive. Has anyone had any experience with them? I was going to get a pair of 7.5x16 tri rib tires for the front.
I have learned that I can get worn but still usable front drive tires from large 4x4 tractors for my rear tires that are 8 ply and still have 40% of their tread. Any comments about what I am doing are appreciated. I am spacing the rear tires out by about four inches per side by reversing the centers then gaining another three inches from the wider tires and rims. I want to make the tractor slightly wider for it to be more stable.

It was on one such Saturday in the early 1940's when Sam was 16 years old that he ended up in Dennison, Kansas to watch a demonstration of a new tractor being put on by a local dealer.
