You are smart doing that before using liner,I do and it take's less liner and seem's to work better. I have a tip that will alow reaching behind baffals and around corners. I use anodes rigged like this 90% of time because it make's it much quicker to hook up and go. I have four 1/2" pvc pipes in varied leingeths into which I drop #4 rebar for normal rust or #3 for heavy rust that would make it difficult to remove #4. I drill and/or saw as large and many openings as possible without weaking pipe enough to bust. One end has glued cap, other has fpt adapter and threaded cap. I solder 2' of stranded steel wire to end of rebar. Copper wire and brazing work but deterioate sooner. Wire passes through drilled hole in threaded cap, sealed with silicone and hang loose ready for charger clamps. No more tying and proping anode to prevent short circuit pluse anode can be easily moved around amongest parts in vat. Multiple cathodes(attachments to multiple rusty parts) and anodes can be used with heavy charger, golf cart charger or welder.

And I think Dad was ready for some automation too. And so it was that we acquired a good, used J. I. Case, wire tie hay baler. In addition to a person to drive th
