celcius or farenhiet it evens out at -40. sun is shinning now but its cold. I am at Westlock Alberta. had a calf born dec 30 of all things. the mother don't have enough milk so bottle feeding it 3 times a day. plus pumping water from the dugout into a stock tank for the cows . need to open dugout each time also. need to be pretty quick in this weather so pump and lines don't freeze. I built a heater to put into the tank. I have the fire going every day out there , throw coal in for the night. its quite a chore just to have a few cows. there is no power out there cause its at the far end of the farm have a piece of low land not crop suitable. other years I would go out everyday to open the dugout and let them drink right from it. but thought try this this year so they have warmer water, but this crazy cold weather aint helping much. maybe just sell the cows next year,?? I mention that and get the evil eye.
