Just doing taxes, so I see I put about 600-900 gallons of gasoline through my 4 gas tractors every year, all pre-1965 models. Had all of them on the place since 1970 I think (dad's tractors originally...). In my opinion, those gas additives are a big waste of money. Big waste. Engines need a rebuild every so often. When you do the head rebuild, put in hardened seats. The additives over the years will cost you a _lot_ more than doing a head rebuild. While the additive may, just may, extend the life of your current seats, you are much better off saving the money and doing the head rebuild when needed. The additives won't add _that_ much time to your valve seats. With hardened seats, the additives are a total waste of money. We rebuilt 2 of the engines since 1970, one of the other 2 is due. I don't believe an extra $100 a year on additives would have saved me any on these 4 engines. Over $3000 would be the additive bill, rebuilding a head costs about $500 including more than seats. I'm _real_ happy without. :) My opinion. --->Paul

And I think Dad was ready for some automation too. And so it was that we acquired a good, used J. I. Case, wire tie hay baler. In addition to a person to drive th
