: The allis B's that i have run across have all had foot brakes... The only allis i know of that had hand brakes was the WC. Sorry if that didn't help : : : I'm trying to find out if hand operated brakes were a standard option and why. The particular B in question has no foot operated brakes. Early B's had hand brakes as well as the WC's through their entire production run from 1933 through 1948. UC's might have had hand brakes as well and of course the WF and RC had hand brakes, too. : : I have a 1937 A.C. and I have hand brakes on my tractor and OK. Thay work as good as foot brakes when you get used to them. Depenning on year and model of your tractor hand brakes tells a story about your tractor. Maybe it was cheaper at that time then peddle brakes. As far as I can tell, hand brakes were stanard not foot brakes.
