We have a 1940 model tractor that was in storage for a number of years and the interior of the gas tank rusted. When it was brought out of storage it started right up but we have had a lot of problems with the rust breaking loose and getting into the fuel. I have installed a fuel line filter but those seem to last a while and become clogged so that the gas will not pass through. Do any of you know of a process to clean the tank and then coat it with some kind of material that gas will not disolve and yet it seals the tank so that it can be used?
