Junior,

I'm not sure how to answer your question. If you are wanting to mount a loader onto a tractor that's not been on that tractor before, then I think Dr. Gerald gave a good explanation.

If you've bought a tractor and loader but the loader is not presently on the tractor you need to hold the loader in position. Usually in the loader there are stands that hold the loader in position so it can be presented to the tractor.

When I remove my loader I don't use the factory stands, but remove it under a beam in the barn and use "come-a-longs" on each side to raise and lower the loader frame to assist in alignment. I can drive the tractor within the frame short of the final mounting location, then connect the hydraulic lines to tilt the frame to go into the front mount and then lower the rear part of the frame onto the rear mounts on the tractor. I use this procedure for installing the loader onto my John Deere 1020.

To install the loader on my CASE, I use the John Deere's loader to lift and hold up the CASE loader in correct position while moving the CASE near to the right position. I hook up the hydraulics and move the frame to align with the tractor's mounts and move the tractor into final position and lower the loader frame on to the CASE with the John Deere. But this method requires 2 tractors.

Today's Featured Article - An Old-Time Tractor Demonstration - by Kim Pratt. Sam was born in rural Kansas in 1926. His dad was a hard-working farmer and the children worked hard everyday to help ends meet. In the rural area he grew up in, the highlight of the week was Saturday when many people took a break from their work to go to town. It was on one such Saturday in the early 1940's when Sam was 16 years old that he ended up in Dennison, Kansas to watch a demonstration of a new tractor being put on by a local dealer. It was an Allis-Chalmers tractor dealership, ... [Read Article]
