Took a drive west towards Omaha and had a visit with Gerald (gmccool) and got a tour of his case collection. He has an awesome collection of smaller items including a complete set of all the case peddle tractors and a bunch of watch fobs. He also has a lot of wrenches and other things that say case on them. A great guy and a fabulous visit. Even got a pic of him in front of my truck.
After that I headed up North East of Des Moines a bit and visited with Fred, another case collector. Fred has an awesome collection of case tractors including a 1030 front assist that is very rare and one of my favorites, as well as some other rare narrow trac industrials and some high crops to name a few. Also got a pic of him as well.
Both are great guys and fun to visit with and have awesome collections to see. I highly recomemd stopping by if you are ever close by, it's really worth the time.
