I would like some advice. I want a bigger tractor for tillage and hauling wagons on the road, and my budget is limited to about $12000, but preferably less. I need 85-100 HP. I am looking at a Case 970, haven't found out if it's powershift or mechanical, Massey 2675 with 24 speed, for $12900, White 2-105 for $9000 and a JD 3130 for $9000. I haven't seen any of them yet. The Case is local and is likely $5000 or less, I haven't asked him yet. Seeing the other tractors involves a 2 day road trip because I'm in Northern Ontario. (And a $600 or more trucking bill to get it home.) My "big" tractor now is a JD 2550 4wd. Please tell me about weak points and parts availability. Thank you in advance, Harv

It was on one such Saturday in the early 1940's when Sam was 16 years old that he ended up in Dennison, Kansas to watch a demonstration of a new tractor being put on by a local dealer.
