: Everytime I let my tractor sit for more than a week : I have to bleed or prime my pump to get my hydraulics : working again.I'm really getting tired of getting : a face full of hydraulic fluid, not to mention soaking : the entire right side of my tractor in fluid. : Does anybody know if rebuilding the pump will solve : this problem.I don't want to put the money out if : this isin't the solution. : Thanks : Steve Been there and did that, didn't seem to help, replaced the "O" rings on the suction side of the pump (going to the case and pickup tube lines) and the problem mostly went away. Still have to prime the thing if I let it set for three month without starting it. Also put in a bypass valve on the discharge side of the pump to allow the fluid to blow back into the case when I do have to prime it. If you decide to put in your own "High Side" bypass valve, make certain it's rated for more than the full rated working pressure of the system (the body parts you protect may be your own)!
