So it's only the Union's fault that cars are so expensive? Huh. What about the billionaire shareholders that demand a high return on their investment? What about the dealers that add an average of $1600 (more for more expensive vehicles like pickups) to the cost of a vehicle just for touching it? What about upper management who make tens or hundreds of millions a year? How about all the extra technology, safety features, and creature comforts that have been incorporated into vehicles over the last 20 years?
I've never been a union member and think unions have plenty of problems. But, I'm not stupid enough to think that unions are even half the problem with anything.
