Well Thanks to the Affordable Health Care Act, the current policy I have had for years is now gone. It was just a major medical plan with a 10K deductible. I do not need insurance for a hang nail like many want. I just want it there if I have a major health problem. My old policy was to disappear last December but they got an extension for 12 months.
We where paying $860 per month. This includes my wife's Medicare wrap around coverage. The cheapest I can find now is over $1600 per month. I have priced Farm Bureau, Wellmark, Travelers, and several others. My wife's wrap around is the main issue.
I really wish the Federal Government would quit "helping" as it always costs me MONEY!!!!!
So it looks like I am on the hook for another $10K each year for what I had last year. Also we DON"T have any inflation either if you ask the Federal bean counters.
LIERS AND THEIVES the whole bunch of them!!!!
SO have any of you found affordable health care without any Federal help??? I make just enough to not be able to get any help on premiums.
I guess I am one of the EVIL rich guys that are oppressing all the POOR masses. Sure wish someone had told me I am rich as I would have lived differently.
I guess I am going to have to go broke like many neighbors have around me. They transfer and hide what they have with their family. I personally know two different guys that owned multiple farms and are on the government dole while their kids still own the farms. The kids never bought them either so ZERO taxes. So they scammed the Government both ways.

It was on one such Saturday in the early 1940's when Sam was 16 years old that he ended up in Dennison, Kansas to watch a demonstration of a new tractor being put on by a local dealer.
