I was just about ready to pack it in for the year, when it looked like we would get a good window this week. I cut hay all day last Sat and another 4 hrs on Sunday.
The weather was really sunny and breezy through yesterday. I chanced it and started raking on Tuesday, raked again Wednesday, and by that afternoon about 40 acres was ready to go. The sun was slow to come out and foggy on Thursday morning. Then by noon it poked through and a good breeze. I bumped everything one last time and started baling at about 4:30. Finished up at 8:30 with the dew just starting to set in.
If the pics work they are cutting and raking the same field. I am posting this from my phone cause it seems like iCloud is temperamental about what pictures it sends to my computer.
The grass hay I baled was pretty much all around 13% and the alfalfa was at 15%. About the last 5 grass bales were pretty tough, but I'll just feed them first. BW
