For this area I think Weather Nation tends beat The Weather Channel for accurate forecasts.
Weather Nation may have been started by Paul Douglas after WCCO-TV in Minneapolis sacked all their top on-air wage earners. When Paul did the weather for WCCO I thought he was considered the most accurate of the local forcasters. His appentice Bellinda Jensen still forecasts the weather for KARE-TV in Minneapolis and she does some of the Twin Cities local forcasts on Weather Nation also.
