I told the neighbor yesterday I am too beat up to die anytime soon - they couldn't have an open casket.
Two months ago a calf got me in the chute and I haven't been able to move that wrist since. Last week I twisted an ankle in the hog pen so bad it turned purple. Yesterday I was taking the straps off a load of round bales and the hook end of the strap got me. When they come down from that high at that speed they can sure ruin a foot. I stepped out of the way but it still blackened that foot. I shudder to think what that would have looked like without my heavy boots. Thank goodness I have a Dr. visit Monday to sort some of this out.
Currently my hands aren't bloodied up, but that's only because I'm wearing thick gloves 24/7.
