Thanks Jim, so is the other pic of the 5 year old with all the brands. I don't know what the price of the 5 year old was but mine was $800 delivered with initial vaccinations. He wasn't weaned and poor boy made a ring around the corral until he realized mama was a thing of the past. I wean my calves before I sell them, be it the sale barn or to a neighbor.
In response to the question about how do you know he is gentile, a couple of things come to mind. I feed every morning a token cube breakfast mainly to get them handy where I can look them over and spray horn flies when in season. All I have to do is holler at him and he will back off till I get the feed out.
When I am feeding round bales, he has learned to stay his distance until I have the hoop in place and the strings cut on one side. While I am on the other side pulling the strings, he and his girl friends move in carefully.
Had Brangus for over 30 years and never had a bad one. One of my bulls I used to go and sit on him when he was lying down and rubbed him with the back scratcher.
