Since we moved to the farm (to run tractors of course) our 5th wheel trailer has just been setting. Well I finally was able to sell it. The tires on it are 235/85-16 load range E tires (10 ply) and are 13 years old. I agreed to get the tires replaced and haul it to Nashville (250 mi away) where it will set and not be moved again.
The question is whether to chance buying some good used truck tires or buy new. Best price I have on new is $468 for a set of the cheapest tires avail in this size. Good used should cost about 1/2 of that.
What would you do? Can't risk a blowout on a sold trailer.
