A coworker of mine had a guy that would come to his house and his parents house a few times per year to sell just like you mention. Out of the truck of a car or something. The meat was good quality..........But.......after he earned their trust in a few years he stopped buy and said, you have to pay in advance. His parents forked over $200 for steaks and roast beef, the guy skipped town, no business card, no phone number. Who knows maybe he died in a car wreck. I do not think I could buy beef out of the back of a car or truck. It could very well be stolen from a butcher or something.
