So just in case it turns out to be a slow day and you need something to talk about, anybody ever been knocked unconscious? I was, probably 15 years or so ago. Darndest thing was,it wasn't a hit to the head. A cow kicked me in the side of the leg with the back of her knee. Hurt like crazy. I layed down on the barn floor,Dad asked me if I was OK and I said yea, just let me lay down for a minute. I had no sense of fading away,no sense of time passing, but instantly the pain was cut by about half. I started getting up and my wife came running in out of the milk house. She hadn't even been in the barn. Dad had gone to the house and got her, that's how long I was out. I wasn't groggy or anything, got right up and went back to work. I could hit that spot on my leg with my fist and it didn't hurt as long as I tightened up the muscles. If I relaxed and even touched it,it was like an open wound. I must have had that leg relaxed when she kicked me and the muscles must have parted a little so that narrow knee hit a nerve down deep.
