Like some others have said, there will not "come a day". Slow and sly is how it gos. Look some of you are already parroting "assult weapon". The bad good for nothing weapon being deamonized is black and has optional grips and sights added to a rifle chambered for what amounts to a pizz ant(223 Remington) compared to gandpaws deer rifle(sporterized 30-06 Garand). I think we agree that the majority of citizens supporting the present perposals are cluless about guns which makes them easily swayed. Once the semi-automatic 223 is banned, they will be back pointing out garndpaw's M1 Garand is far more lethal than already banned guns so naturaly we need to ban all guns like it also. And down the road we go. Anyone remember when hunting magizines advertised bargin guns by mail order until Oswald shot Kennedy? Outlawing mail order guns was supposed to solve all our problems with guns. The next serious effort was eliminating "Saturday Night Specials"because those were what killed people. See how giving a gun a sinister name makes it nessary to do away with it. What will I do? Absolutly nothing same as always and so will the rest.
