Two things about WWII warbirds in general they took a heck of a lot of maintenance to keep them flying and at various times the ground crews weren't that busy because a lot of the birds made one way trips. Word I heard is after Ford really got into Jaguar they were beginning to wish they'd bought something else instead like Skoda, Tatra, Dacia, Trabant, Wartburg, Pollenez or maybe even Zastiva, seems the eastern bloc communist car factories were more up to date and less steeped in tradition than Jaguar and would of been easier to turn around.
